An ultrasonic generator is attached to a special suction canula. Tumescent fluid is introduced into the fat to be removed. The special hollow canula with the ultrasonic probe at the end is hooked to the ultrasonic generator and the suction vacuum. This canula is then passed through the fat and the ultrasonic energy breaks up the fat cells and converts the fat to oil. The oil is mixed with the tumescent fluid and forms an emulsion. This is then sucked out through the hollow canula.
